Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with up to 2 years of experience to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will work on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in modern data technologies while contributing to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Assist in integrating data from various sources (internal and external) into our data warehouse/lake/lakehouse/ data lakehouse.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
- Support the team in automating data workflows and processes.
- Work with senior data engineers and data analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of data solutions.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Experience with SQL and data modeling.
- Good at one or more programming languages: Python, Java, Scala
- Experience cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles.
- Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, Spark, or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data services (e.g.,Azrue ADF, Azure Synapse, AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, AWS Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc...).
